Local Sporting Group Shows Sharing Is Caring

Media Releases

State Member for Wallsend, Ms Sonia Hornery MP, has joined forces with a local sporting group, the Newcastle Hunters, to help anyone in the local community who needs a helping hand.

The Newcastle Hunters contacted Ms Hornery last week to discuss how they could help the local community. The team decided to put together 50 grocery kits, with staples that can be distributed throughout the community.

The Newcastle Hunters were particularly looking to help sections of the community that have fallen through the cracks with all of the assistance packages being announced, and particularly showed concern for students at Newcastle University.

The group has joined forces with Ms Hornery who will help distribute the packs to those in the community who need them.
