New Premier Must Ensure Money is Spent in Wallsend

Media Releases

State Member for Wallsend, Ms Sonia Hornery MP, is calling on the new Premier to ensure that the urgent infrastructure needs of Wallsend are fully funded.

The previous Premier ignored the Wallsend electorate, failing to provide some much needed infrastructure projects, despite the issues being raised repeatedly.

The Lake Macquarie Transport Interchange, the number one priority infrastructure project in the Hunter and the Wallsend flood mitigation works remain unfunded, despite both projects being repeatedly raised with the Premier.

Schools in the Wallsend electorate have a huge infrastructure backlog, there is a significant shortage of Police, particularly Beresfield, Tarro and Wallsend, public transport is almost nonexistent in parts of the Electorate and Glendale TAFE has been gutted.
