State Member for Wallsend, Ms Sonia Hornery MP, has welcomed the start of the first step in reducing the effects of flooding in the Wallsend CBD, with the start of works today to replace the Tyrrell Street Bridge.
City of Newcastle has commenced works to replace the Tyrrell Street Bridge, which will see the bridge and the pillars that support the bridge removed and replaced with a single span bridge over the stormwater drain.
