School Presentation Season Highlights Value Of Quality Education

Media Releases

State Member for Wallsend, Ms Sonia Hornery MP, has been attending the end of year presentation days for many of the local schools in the Wallsend electorate.

It has once again highlighted the quality of teaching, education and contribution of young people in our area.

This year is tinged with sadness, however, as Paul Tracey retires from his position as Principal of Callaghan College, Wallsend Campus. He has lead the school with integrity and vision. The student body will no doubt miss his leadership.

Quotes attributable to Member for Wallsend, Sonia Hornery

“I see so many inspiring young people throughout the year. It is lovely to be able to celebrate their achievements.”

“Schools and education are not just about academic success but also about building community spirit, resilience and social capital.”

“I congratulate all students on their efforts this year and wish them well for the future.”

“I wish Paul Tracey all the best for his retirement. His integrity and leadership has inspired a generation of young people to contribute to a better society.”
