State Member for Wallsend, Ms Sonia Hornery MP, has today thanked the hard working staff at Hunter Water after yesterday’s water pipe break at Wallsend.
The pipe was hit yesterday and caused a major outage in the suburbs of Maryland, Fletcher and Minmi, with some homes losing water altogether.
Crews worked in very difficult conditions, in a very inaccessible site until 3:30am today to restore services to residents.
